Year One

My husband Jeff and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary this past monday. It's weird to think about how much can change in year. We welcomed our second daughter into our family and purchased our first real home.
Looking back, I can remember how much planning and work it was to create this perfect day (and it was!) that I had been dreaming about my whole life. It was the beginning of a new life, not only as a married couple, but as a family. Marriage is definately a learning experience. I continue to learn something new everyday about Jeff and our relationship. It's not always easy, but it's worth it.

Here are a few things I have learned in our first year:
  - Don't assume your husband can read your mind. Be honest about what you want. Dropping hints simply isn't enough.
  - Dont ever go to bed angry. Resolve what ever is bugging you and tomorrow will be a new start.
  - Dont be afraid to say that you're sorry first. It's not about who "wins".
  - Men who are hungry = No fun for anyone.
  - Patience is key.
  - Always work together as a team. (especially when it comes to parenting)
  - Be each others support, no matter what!
